Characterization of the investigation archive. A case study

Abstract

The aim of the article is to describe the research process based on a case study about the research archive, held at the School of Library Science at the University of Antioquia (Medellí­n-Colombia). First, the identification of the School research experience was identified and, secondly, the characterization of the archival processing for the research archive was made in order to propose conceptual and methodological approaches about this kind of archive. Finally, some recommendations and considerations about the research archive as a specialized one, of singular value for management and social appropriation of the scientific and/or technological knowledge, were made.
