The academic text and discourse genre and teaching in tertiary education

Abstract
Some remarks about the academic text communication understood as reflecting the advancement of knowledge related to a specific discipline, set in Bakhtin's notion of discourse genre are presented. From this I raise some of its characteristic features in the broad sense, that is, regardless of the area of knowledge in which the text has occurred. Then they propose some reflections about the teaching of reading and production of texts of this kind in the tertiary according to their epistemic value, highlighting the resonsabilidad of teachers and university care about the issue in training the students.
