Abstract

The curriculum innovation driven by Playa Ancha University constitutes a process in which it has been possible to recognize the characteristics and main difficulties that are common to this type of initiatives developed by institutions of higher education in various countries of the world, and that, therefore, are assumed as inherent in these changes. It aims to share this experience with peers, to reflect on the problems that are unavoidable in the process of curriculum innovation and particularly, work socializing mode developed by UPLA, in the pursuit of commitment, consistency and institutional participation in each of the stages. The process of curriculum innovation in comment started with a diagnostic reflection and led to the establishment of an educational model, which conforms the basis for the work begun by careers and that, according to schedule by the institution, should be completed by 2015
